Josiah Plumley
Founder - Attorney Josiah Plumley, founding attorney of Narya Law, took anything but the typical path to law. Raised in poverty as the oldest of a large family, he understood early that nothing would be handed to him. A natural born nerd, he poured himself into books and his studies, graduating high school at sixteen. As a first-generation college student, he worked his way through undergrad at a physically demanding warehouse job while serving in the Army Reserves and volunteering weekly at church.
It was during this time that Josiah discovered health and fitness, throwing himself into exercise science and nutrition until he built a reputation as a go-to expert. This launched a nearly decade-long career running a training center and coaching nutrition for up to three hundred clients at a time — work that demanded constant research into rehabilitation, medications, supplementation, and behavioral psychology. Along the way, he saw firsthand the falsity, incompetence, and corruption running through the health care industry. Given his background and his sharp sense of justice, that abuse of trust infuriated him — and he decided to stop just fixing broken health and start going after those responsible for breaking it.
That mission only intensified in law school, where his studies in health law and IP law revealed even deeper corruption than he had known. He encountered misinterpretations and loopholes bad actors often exploit at the expense of the people who trust them. Knowing the worst abuses live at the intersection of these two fields — and that the perpetrators hire the best lawyers money can buy — Josiah earned not just his JD but two LL.M.s, in Health Law and in Intellectual Property and Information Law, both programs for which his school ranked among the top ten in the nation. During law school, he was also fortunate to serve as President of his school's Federalist Society chapter, helping grow it into one of the most active in the nation, and interned with the federal court in the Southern District of Texas. Finding no firms dedicated to the causes that drove him to law school, he started his own straight out of school—Narya Law.
He brings to his cases the same elements that brought him from poverty to attorney: the grit, wit, and passion he had for learning, the resilience developed and revealed by a hard life, and the defiance and intractability against those who try to use their trust, power, or wealth to take advantage of others. These traits can't be taught through a textbook. Contra Tyrannos Et Mendaces — against bullies and liars — isn't just a motto. It's a disposition. It's a calling.
Office Director
Destiny Ziarkowski
When you're dealing with a legal matter — especially one tied to your health or your business's name — what you need most is someone who actually listens, follows through, and stays with you every step of the way. That's what you'll get working with Destiny.
Before joining her husband Josiah in founding Narya Law, Destiny spent six years in headhunting and sales — work built entirely around understanding what people need and connecting them with the right solution. That same instinct shapes how she works with every client here: she listens first, stays in close contact throughout your case, and makes sure you're never left wondering where things stand.
She also understands, firsthand, what it feels like when your health is on the line. After facing her own serious health scare—cancer, and navigating the healthcare system through it, she brings real empathy to clients coming to Narya Law after being let down by their own providers — because she's been the scared, uncertain patient too.
